His car not having a license plate light doesn’t put the public in danger.

Not paying taxes doesn't put the public in danger either. Try that and then tell the IRS that nobody was endangered and see if they are as lenient as officer Gentry was with Mr Chambers.

Not every law is on the books to protect the public but we still have to abide by them. And the people put in place still have to enforce them. No matter how trivial or dumb you may think said laws are.

Lucky for your ignorant arse and his they didn't claim to stop him because they thought anyone was in danger. If you disagree with the laws, march your rear over to the State Capitol for the next session and do something about it rather than having a beef with those placed in charge of enforcing them

We have limited enforcement resources and near endless laws. The enforcement agencies receive huge leeway and discretion in their ability to choose how and when to enforce laws.

Making this stop was likely, generally speaking, a fishing expedition. The officer essentially says as much during it.

Gary was obnoxious during it, but the cop probably could’ve been spending that time much better than making the initial stop, or engaging him for as long as he did. When your policing strategy rests on “because I can” you get into unneeded and non productive confrontations.

Most stops at night for failure to signal, no tag lights, improper lane usage, etc are just a reason to stop the person to see if they’re under the influence, got warrants, or breaking other laws in general. Had he not acted like the piece of shite he is, the officer would have determined he was legit and just let him go. Gary prolonged the whole stop trying to entice the officer into doing something worthy of keeping on his Facebook live. Instead he just made a fool of himself.

Woulda, coulda, shoulda...find something else to whine about. I got pulled over due to a burned out taillight bulb years ago. Didn't act like a POS about it, handed over required docs, no ticket, was on my way again in 10 minutes with just an extra stop at an Autozone for new bulbs.

All they had to say was in the state of LA if an officer or deputy conducts a traffic stop due to a violation it is that peace officer right to have the subject get out of the vehicle under any circumstances. It's the fricking law. Should have hit him with resisting.

Gravy got a HUGE pass, needs to send a follow up thank you note to those officers for not legally skull dragging him on asphalt for being belligerent and uncooperative.

Gravy: "dindu nuffin"
Officer: "no turn signal"
Gravy: "bullshite"
Officer: "you are behaving impaired, beligerant and uncooperative, please step out of the vehicle"
Gravy: "dis frickin bullshite"
Officer: "prepare thy arse to be removed by force"

Oh, and moving violations at 10:00p are sometimes committed by 4th offense dwi offenders who could hit and kill your family member gravy. Overall, it's a good thing to stop and check you, regardless of you "having a bad day."

This wasn't a regular duty incident. The deputy was from another parish here with other deputies from other jurisdictions. They were part of a multi-jurisdictional task force here for exactly what they are doing. Your assessment makes it appear as if this particular zone of the EBRSO is understaffed and the only 2 deputies in the entire central substation patrolling area are out making stops for busted tail lamps while there are 5 or 6 calls in the que for more serious crimes. That is 100% not the case here whatsoever. I'm quite positive that you're the type of guy who sees an officer sitting parked in a parking lot under a tree, perhaps having a quick lunch, and wonders why he's just sitting there doing nothing while sucking up your tax dollars.

Paying for a blow job doesn't put the public in danger either.

But funny that he's now worried about the crime, which in br, is mainly black on black.

And like others have noted, these later evening stops are usually them checking for fricked up drivers.

Things I have learned from LivePD, 95% of "fishing" traffic stops result in the car "Ridin Dirty"

The Rouge Collection appears to be in non-compliance with the Secretary of State's Corporations Database:

That's because he has no earthly idea what an annual report is.

makes it seem like every other car on the road has some kind of problem with it (drunk/impaired driver, no insurance, illegal narcotics, etc.)

The OT needs to hijack his radio show Monday evening, assuming he has the balls to show up. Every call should be directed at him and his ignorance, regardless of the topic he and John Delgado are trying to discuss. On a side note, Face 2 Fat would be a better name for their show rather than Face 2 Face.

too bad BRPD/EBRSO or NOPD would never agree to be profiled on that show

would turn the Live PD threads from 20 pages each night to 80 pages

When you are directed to exit the vehicle, you exit the vehicle. Arguing on the side of the road rarely gets you any points or breaks, though, oddly enough, in this case it did. I have a feeling that was on purpose and it backfired on Gravy 10-fold.

I'm just playing devil's advocate, he was being an arse but didn't seem under any influence just mad. What actual legal ground did he have to ask him to step out of his car in La?
