FU whoever deems credit/debit cards 'compromised'

For about the 5th time this year my friggin bank notifies by email a debit card is being canceled...
...never once have I seen a charge that was a compromised charged.
But frick I have to go enter new credentials in about 23 different vendor systems that use the card for payments.

At first I thought it was an issue with the third party services so many of them use. Apparently it's this particular bank.

Why aren't you turning it over to your accountants to handle while just using a card from another bank like the rest of us do?

I had that issue with Gulf Coast bank a couple of years ago. 4x in one year. They would cancel the card and send me a new one "in 10-14 business days".
I don't use a debit card that much... but still I was like WTF.

That’s exactly it. At least now you can go to a branch and get a replacement immediately. And it still runs as a credit card.
But the hassles this creates are far reaching.
Over/under on how many passwords I have to change when I start logging into vendor accounts to update this card number? Gonna go with 8.

sign up to pay your bills using your Banks routing number and your checking account number and you wont have the problem - or keep as it is and bitch about it to people who are likely laughing at you.

Considering I pay people all over the world, where oftentimes a routing #/account # is neither desirable nor available, I’ll do it this way.
