And their population increases are responsible for the added 1 billion every 12-13 years.

The rate of that growth is decreasing, and rapidly. The world population will not continue to grow at that pace as Africa slowly joins the 19th century.

Global population could very well be contracting within the next century or so.

That’s 3 out of 195 countries and a cumulative population of 500 million out of 8.5 billion.

It’s also nowhere near the only places where it’s declining rapidly. Most of the world is experiencing lower rates, even places that are still above replacement rates.

Very few countries have birth rates that are currently increasing from ten years ago.

Makes me think about the rest who are still frozen.

A frozen soul. A small angel in ice. Makes me feel very lonely thinking about it.

Well, some of those other 192 countries are really exploding because the world population certainly is. I asked Gemini to show the billion-mark milestones of human population growth. Here is its research:

Here's a breakdown of the population milestones:

• The time it took to add a billion people has varied throughout history. It took all of human history until around 1800 to reach 1 billion people. The second billion took about 123 years. The third billion took about 50 years.

• The pace of growth accelerated significantly, and the period of 12-13 years for adding a billion people was a recent trend. The population went from:

• 4 billion to 5 billion in 13 years (1974-1987)

• 5 billion to 6 billion in 12 years (1987-1999)

• 6 billion to 7 billion in 12 years (1999-2011)

• 7 billion to 8 billion in 11 years (2011-2022)

From this data it’s easy to see that the pace of human population growth is increasing, not decreasing. Many people fail to see the big picture.

The rate of increase is decreasing. And will continue to do so—drastically. The very stat you point to says the opposite of your post. The rate of growth as a percentage of world population every 12 years or so is decreasing. From 4 to 5 billion we added 25% of the population in a dozen years. From 7 billion to 8 billion is less than 15% increase.

But the fact that you ran to AI to regurgitate basic facts tells me all I need to know so there’s no need to discuss further

I was hoping that was the case. The 65% was what the Dr's told us 16 years ago. Unfortunately, we lost a child during the thaw cycle, but we were blessed with the pregnancy of our daughter a couple of months later.

That’s a ridiculous take on your part. AI is a valuable research tool at present. I think you know the truth that the earth’s population is increasing rapidly and you just don’t want to admit it. U b u.

So valuable that it gave you what exactly?

AI is a crutch for research that spits out nonsense more often than not and just compensates for someone’s inability to formulate and articulate their own thoughts.

As I’ve said numerous times, and the numbers your own shitty AI post confirm, is that the rate of growth has slowed enormously and will continue to do so, and will eventually contract.

There’s no need to be rude. It just indicates that you’re getting annoyed.

Are you getting annoyed because I’m not accepting your word? That I fail to accept that you’re an authority on world population?

I chose to offer AI research to back up my claim that the earth’s population is increasing at an increasing rate. If you can’t see that from my last post, then you’re horrible at math.

You’ve just posted what you think and expect me to accept it.

Part of managing the population is also to discourage those who can’t afford children to not have them.
No one should be discouraged from having children - that's a basic instinct...to want to procreate and have offspring.

Instead, we should be encouraging parents to provide for their children and to nourish their bodies, souls, and minds.

How do you get people who are poor and living hand-to-mouth to listen and adhere to such a message? Who tells them that? What’s their motivation to listen to the message?

Your AI slop post literally shows a declining rate of increase

4 to 5 billion in 12 years is a 25% increase.

7 to 8 billion in 12 years is less than a 15% increase.

No, that is not an increasing rate.

First reaction- wow- this is great- happy this embryo worked out! Very cool.

Secondary thoughts- tons of these don’t get used/left on ice/disposed of?

And it feels weird
