Is a true a-hole...but doesn't deserve jail...but That's just me.
If it wasn't him, there wouldn't be 72 threads about it.

As the employer, he will get sued.

I don’t even like the guy. I’m not trying to defend him. But OP saying he hopes he spends 10 years in jail for this is stupid and politically motivated. Someone else brought up the Dick Cheney shooting. Totally different as that was known to be real ammo and someone just not knowing where they were shooting. But the response is similar in that everyone had an opinion back then that was based on their politics. Lefties wanted the VP arrested and folks on the right tried to excuse it.

A venn diagram of Capitol rioters, anti-vaxxers and those wanting Baldwin in prison is just one circle.

Baldwin should be charged with involuntary manslaughter.

Good, then you too will blame the person who broke protocol and fired a gun directly at someone which isn't supposed to ever be done.

Of course he will. But … Sued =/= jail time

None in here.

Can you link me to where I have advocated for jail time?
thanks.

1) Who was the producer AND employer?
2) Who aimed and fired a weapon directly at someone breaking protocols?
3) Who had previous incidents on the set and evidently didn't fix them?
4) Who hired this unskilled "armorer?"
Next time quote the whole thing. Otherwise you admit to arguing dishonestly, which is par the course for Mr. Strawman.

And you're describing his role as producer now, not actor. That's different than his role as actor (that led to the trigger being pulled). You have to be very careful in how you are describing his roles and responsibilities.

I'll be interested to see how many layers there are to insulate the money.

????
What????
He was acting in a movie, it’s called pretending. He was pointing at the camera to shoot that was part of the movie. Also the gun was supposed to be loaded just with blanks.
The real question is why the hell were there real bullets on the set?

I mean the movie itself is owned by an LLC. I can only imagine the contractual language used re: liability.
Then there are multiple levels of production companies who own a part of that LLC. Everyone involved likely has some sort of insurance.
Lots of layers before you get anywhere close to their personal assets.

The conversation where people sloppily switched arguments between civil liability and criminal liability and Baldwin's roles as producer and actor? Where I pointed out multiple times that people were mixing commentary among the 4 variables without clearly describing what they were talking about? That thread? Yeah I remember. That's why I'm reiterating the same arguments here, b/c they're happening again.

Just like you don't have the same responsibilities to check your automobile daily as an F1 pit crew does for their vehicle. Do you blame the driver of an F1 car if a major mechanical malfunction happens? Of course not, because the system is built differently than in real life. Even then, an F1 driver is more of a participant in the process than an actor is with a firearm on set.
