I have a friend, of course, who is thinking about divorce. He has 3 kids, all pretty young, and his wife is a stay at home mom. He makes over $100k, I believe. We'll say $135k.

How's this going to turn out for him? Will he have any money left to live on after child support and alimony?

Get a good lawyer and find reasons why he should get the kids and not her.

It'll be great. He'll even get to see his kids every once in a while.

Okay let me paint a picture of how it will go

First picture the biggest shovel you can

Now picture your friend getting fricked within an inch of his life by it

But he's not allowed to die because he has to support her while she fricks a new guy who raises his kids

Ask him if he wants to call his old house in the future and ask Jamal to put his kids on the phone.

After you get the advice you are seeking for your friend, you better ask the admins to delete this thread.

Don't want your friend's wife's lawyer to have any additional ammunition against your "friend."

If you are his friend, you'll tell him not to get his divorce. Tell him to stop being an egomaniac and finish what he started. He owes it to his kids and wife.

I thought LA was no fault. I'm not even sure I know what that means, but whats the case the lawyer would build? Custody or money?

Good luck with this. I'm not sure how divorce works in LA with respects to custody (I know y'all are community property regarding property settlements), but in MS, unless she was abusing, neglecting, or doing some crazy arse shite in front of the kids like drugs or sex, then she's getting the kids. She's a homemaker and would literally have every factor (we call them Albright factors) in her favor except for employment stability, which the court would offset with child support.
