Kind of on topic, but they had a saying when I was growing up in Michigan…
Don’t ever buy a car that was finished on a Friday or a Monday.

Any way you can share with us how this information about finish dates can be found? LOL

bosses go out of their way to have meetings late on friday. It cracks me up how quickly all forget what it was like to be an employee

Our office closes at noon on Fridays

We have meeting on Thursdays - if it’s a Wednesday meeting, we are all in trouble

I just got an invite for a 3:30pm meeting and I already have a 4pm on the books.

I do a lot of work for the federal government and they do some stupid shite.

I had a project at Belle Chase Naval Air Station and the engineers scheduled a Friday 3:30 meeting. They fly in from Norfolk, we meet for an hour with nothing more than discussing previous phone calls and emails. I drive home from fricking Belle Chase at 4:30 on a Friday and takes me two hours.

Two weeks later same shite, 4 different engineers from Norfolk fly in. That was when I realized they scheduled the Friday meeting so they could stay in New Orleans for the weekend and get hammered in the Quarter on the taxpayers dime.

Third time was no bueno. I just refused and they pouted for the next year.

But that particular project the taxpayers dime paid for a couple nice change orders.

On a side note, Friday morning meetings are great. A perfect time to tell everyone "have a great weekend", insinuating you won't be corresponding with them again today.

Then you can go hit the bar for the afternoon.

I usually block off my Outlook calendar from noon to five on Fridays so when anyone checks my calendar to schedule a meeting, they see I’m already busy.

Oh everyone has their calendars blocked off but this super important manager ignores that and schedules it anyhow.

It's rare but I will find a reason I can't make a Friday afternoon meeting. I might call in but I'll be drinking.

Somehow my schedule is free this afternoon to go to a client's crawfish boil. Weird how that works out.

You have a point. It’s just that auto workers on Friday would be thinking about camping and on Monday they would
Be tired from camping.

Yeah, I rarely have them on Friday afternoon. Friday afternoons are typically set up for code reviews heading into the following week.

If there's a Friday meeting is there still a Monday morning meeting? That's too many. I'd rather Friday than Monday.

I find meetings to be very distracting on Fridays. I don't schedule them. Also, Mondays is a recovery day from the weekend, so I jam in the important ones on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Thursdays is to tidie up a few things
