I have an idea, get your credit limit raised to a normal amount. I would think even a 18 year old with shitty credit would have a $2,000 limit for emergencies. What the hell is $900 going to do for you.

It would be hilarious if you somehow were caught not paying the Washington state use tax after all that.

They won't mind you leaving, it probably cost them money to have you as a customer.

One thing is true about human nature people in general can't bare pointing the finger at themselves when they frick up as, in this case...

Why didn't you draw out some cash before you left on this six hour tour then you wouldn't have had any problems at all?

Blaming the bank for policies you agreed and signed off on when you opened up the account makes you look foolish and stupid.

Stupid...

Pretty sure my chase daily debit card limit is $5,000. I've also had to temporarily raise it before for a large purchase, and they did a 1 day increase over the phone, no problem

fricking awful.

I'd suggest Wachovia.

You must be kidding. Wachovia is now Wells Fargo. They were bought out several years ago.

Wachovia was the best but give had no dip in customer service since the buyout.

To OP piss poor planning on your part does not constitute a frick up on the banks part.

Dude, get a real fricking credit card with a serious limit and pay off the balance every month. Also, earn rewards.

Something seems fishy about this story. Also, who goes to the store to buy any type of electronics these days, let alone drives 6 hours round trip. You could have found a better deal online and saved yourself $200 and 6 hours.

OP -

I would seriously consider this option with whatever you do -

Use credit card for all purchases. Pay off with checking account at the end of each month.

You will build up your credit quickly, and your credit card company will reward your use by raising your credit limit.

I don't know how old you are, but as others have said, unless you're still a teenager, you should have higher than a $900 credit limit. You'll need more credit to purchase a house one day.

Not to mention, you can build up points on particular credit cards to get discounts, cash back, or airline miles.

It's a debit card, if you have the cash in your account you can spend it all if you want to, there is no limit. I am calling bullshite on your story. Your either lying or your broke.

Most banks actually have a $500 or $1000 "debit" limit on cards per day.

However, if you pressthe good ole red button and process as credit you can spend 1500..2500...or 5000(with Chase and some others)

I have a feeling OP, you were entering your PIN for some silly reason instead of just running it as credit.

Thankfully the Microsoft Store gave me a small discount to bring the price to where I only needed to use $499 on the debit card. If not I would have driven 3 hours for nothing

If anything, this is really cool of them

limit is for safety reasons, so your account don't get drained if the card gets compromised.
