I sincerely want to be at my meetings but can't take unnecessary risks if it's not 100% safe. I consider the meeting important but not 911 important. Wanting to make a decision before other attendees leave their offices for the day.

If the interstates are still closed, there is no way there can be school in EBR. It would be the mother of all traffic clusterfricks.
And with the lows in the teens again tonight and into the early morning, I'd be willing to bet that the physical plants at all of these dilapidated schools don't have good enough heat to warm the buildings
Completely agree

I understand.. But I have seen that Airline has been open all today between BR and NOLA... If its open today I don't see a reason for it to be closed tomorrow......

All NOLA Schools Closed Tomorrow – Thursday, January 18
January 16, 2018
In coordination with local and state agencies it has been advised that road conditions tomorrow morning may remain hazardous and continued road closures of major thoroughfares are expected. These closures could result in extended wait times at school bus stops in below freezing temperatures. In order to ensure the safety of our students OPSB and RSD advise a continued closure of all schools for tomorrow, Thursday January 18th.
