French Settlement was a small high school sports juggernaut back in the day. What happened to it? Consolidation?

Like back when it opened in 1928? Because it sure hasn’t been a juggernaut in the last 40+ years.

Edit: Definitely not in basketball. Last year was the first year they made the LHSAA basketball tournament since 1966 LINK

I can’t find anything about them for football.

So are you saying the sports suck and are asking why they have gotten worse, or are you asking why they aren’t so small anymore?

Well they Won State in softball and the boys basketball made it to the final four last year. The boys are currently first in the rankings for division 3. So yeah I would say a definite decline!

It's such a small school they don't field a football team. They have been pretty good at baseball and basketball but not championship caliber. I think the area likes it that way.

There's like 5,000 people in the Many/Zwolle area and probably 4,350 of them have the last name Ebarb or Sepulvado. Tons of marrying within the family there and maybe 2% end up getting a BS degree.

If they have a player that is good, I would think they would probably try to play for St Amant if they can.

I’ve been told they don’t have any trailer parks. That’s all I got.
