re: French Settlement High School - what happened to it?

Anecdotally I thought all the best carabiners and softball players reside in Colyell

I went with a stacked softball team there over a decade ago and the local team made it to the championship with one loss and we were undefeated in a double elimination tourney. They were your run of the mill rednecks. Most of the team played barefooted and ran circles around us two games in a row. So we forever called them the Colyell Barefoot Bandits.

Must be something special because I know of 2 kids that have transferred there last year. 1 from Amite and the other kid is from Albany.

Not sure how kids that live outside of the school zone can go there. But they both moved just to play basketball there.
