Not Auburn specific but on campus fraternal organizations are under fire from all directions.
What was a vital part of the overall campus community is being forced into obscurity and irrelevance.
Counsel I always give young men is to go through rush with an open mind and don’t go with any perceived perceptions. What you experience could be eye opening.
Also - for networking, it might be best to closely look at organizations that are not geographically organized.

Auburn's greek system isn't like other schools I've been around. Troy and Alabama have huge Greek systems while Auburn isn't needed to be social. I spent a lot of time at Fraternity parties while there even though I was never in one but I also spent a lot of time with friends at bars and keg parties.
Right now, Auburn fraternities are heavily under fire about alcohol again, I would certainly test the waters without joining before spending a ton on one.
