This fricking dork in a fleece on the Weather Channel is definitely getting a boner every time he mentions rapid intensification and the possibility of a CAT2

In the 12z run, is that a closer path on the Intracoastal/abbeville to Lafayette hit line?

I’m not good on geography ??

Have we discussed how the current track puts S to SE winds directly up the Mississippi River threatening to cause it to run backwards and possibly jump channels to the Atchafalaya?

I wonder how much the recent experience with the “brown ocean” effect with Ida will influence the NHC’s wind forecasts inland or forecasted weakening upon “landfall”

I don’t think the models know that the Atchafalaya Basin exists.

Where this is set to make landfall is nothing but marsh.

Explain this? I have either never heard of it just missed it. I was without power for 3 weeks after Ida and pretty out of the loop for another month working to clean my mess here after Ida so must have missed it.
