Chris Franklin said the inland gusts haven't been as high as forecasted yet.

Franklin has been very evenkeeled. Unlike those alarmist fricks on fox 8

Yeah. It got loud enough in Old Jefferson that my wife did that simultaneous look-at-each-other, then look-out-the-window.

Um, that's St. George to you, pal.
Big area, so I was being more specific. I'm a mile from the parish line, hence the qualification as the "corner".

The eye is 65 miles wide. That's larger than the NHC average miss at 36 hours. Most of SELA is going to have the eye wall in some form or fashion. Grow up.
A lot of people cope with the disappointment that they will be negatively impacted by blaming / complaining about the forecast.
In a few days, you will see people shift their blame toward the energy companies.
It’s a coping mechanism.

Rarely are. Finding a fixed location that has the equipment to handle potential gusts and actually reports said gusts to any agency is rare. There is a reason you see most gust reports coming from airports, platforms, buoys, etc. and not some guy's backyard weather station or camp.
