re: Times of interest

Anyone know if that is all parking lots? Trying to see if Gameday has changed the timing for the memorial tower circle. Usually park Friday and drop all of our stuff, but I'm hearing that we may not be able to leave a car and trailer overnight?
Same here. Flickered handful of times since 5 pm. Edited for location. Near bonnabel and lake.
In (metairie) place/bucktown. Power flickered once. High noons flowing
We had two Golden’s from HF (now have one who is 7). Other one died of aggressive form of cancer that came on quick at age 6. Great dogs other than that.

Edit to say we got one in 2016 (died 2022). Other we got in 2017, still going strong.
Recommend Bose QC Earbuds II. Note that they are different from the first generation. They come with multiple sizes of the different rubber parts, so you have to mix and match to get your size right. But they’re great once you get the right fit. Run in mine routinely, and they don’t fall out or even get loose.

Any opinions on this? Currently use the net worth tool within fidelity, but that can’t link to all of my accounts. Trying to track progress towards college savings for kids and retirement savings goals.

Appreciate that man, I’ve been meaning to try and find the og mid 60s drawings at the archives at some point. You do this for a living?

This is what I feared the answer would be. Was this recently?

Thanks all for feedback.

Definitely seems like a headache but, with transaction costs and higher interest rates, seems like we are really stuck where we are (Metairie) unless we take out a huge mortgage.

Biggest unknown at this point is the foundation. Would be expanding our existing slab on grade house.

Estimate for Home Addition

Posted by TampaTiger11 on 10/28/23 at 10:55 am
Looking to either move into a larger house or add on to existing. Leaning towards staying and adding on, but I have no real idea of what it would cost to make the addition we want. Are there services/tools online to do this? Figure contractors don’t really have time/bandwidth to give these types of estimates if the work isn’t immediately. following
I evacuated, but my buddy went to look at my house. No obvious damage to the house, but a fence in the back came down. I live east of bonnabel in between vets and west esplanade. He is south of vets in same area and his house was fine as well.
I don't plan on using the web browser for anything really. I don't Uber very often, but I just looked to make sure it was a possibility. Got a smartphone through work, so I really have no need to spend $100/month so I can use snapchat/look at instagram. Really, my reason for switching is to save a bit of money and to see if I can live without the crutch for a while. I feel I am wasting too much time on it, would rather just not have the temptation to stare at the phone in public all the time.

Switching from iPhone to dumbphone

Posted by TampaTiger11 on 5/18/16 at 9:05 pm
Planning on switching (with Verizon) from iPhone to a flip phone. Verizon offers a plan that is $30/month with unlimited talk, text, and data. I looked online and it looks like I can still use uber through the web browser on the flip phone and respond to group messages. Anybody have any other recommendations/warnings about switching leaving behind the iOS ecosystem/smartphone? Switching from 5S to Kyocera DuraXV.

I see that it gives the map with a location, but it also has the disclaimer below the map. Are you saying that the map gives the actual location? It just seems unclear to me.

civicsource.com?

Anybody used this site to purchase adjudicated property? There must be a catch to this process, as the prices on these lots are so low. Does anyone know the way to determine the true locations of the properties? The site lists them in a map view, but then has a caveat next to the maps that the location on the map is not necessarily indicative of the exact location. TIA

Credit History

Posted by TampaTiger11 on 2/19/16 at 6:44 pm
Got a question about getting information added to my credit history. As a recent grad I do not have an extensive credit history. In fact, my two of my three credit reports are completely empty. I tried to submit disputes on the websites to have current cards/job added to the account, but the dispute process does not allow me to dispute blank portions of my history. Anybody have any ideas?
Hadn't looked into the small installment loan as a way to build credit. Had just kept applying and getting denied for a credit card (like 5x in 6 months) :banghead: I'll look into the loan idea.
I hadn't heard a negative opinion about the FHA loans. Not disagreeing, but what makes you say that it's a terrible choice?

Short/No Credit History Mortgage?

Posted by TampaTiger11 on 2/10/16 at 5:49 pm
First time/long time here, have a question. I graduated from LSU recently, have a job here in BR. My lease on my current place ends pretty soon, and I am thinking about looking into buying a house. I have a decent chunk of change saved up for a down payment on a cheap house. My question centers on the implications of having a short credit history as it relates to getting a mortgage loan. Would I be able to get a mortgage with a short credit history? I have had a card in my name on my parents' credit card account for several years and have a gas card. Other than that my only credit history is associated with non-traditional credit such as rent/utilities/etc. I have applied for several credit cards and been denied due to, you guessed it, lack of credit history.
1. Would I even qualify for a loan , even a FHA loan, while having such a short credit history?
2. Should I wait until I have more of a credit history before applying to try and get a more favorable interest rate?

Thanks
I usually got them to toss the tenders in buffalo sauce then put bleu cheese on it. Highly recommend it
