As of right now that is exactly what it is, a nothing burger
When Ida was making landfall in Grand Isle, it was still a big nothing burger on the northshore. Then it went from 0 to 100 real quick

For what it’s worth my cousin is on a boat down in Port Sulphur and he said they think they saw a water spout out in the distance but it was raining too hard to tell for sure

Might have been what that tornado warning was

Weather Track US
@weathertrackus

The inner eyewall, which is the most dangerous part of #Francine is just under 25mi from reaching the coastline, and will likely impact land within the next hour or two.

Official landfall will likely be around 3-4pm.

Did it speed up significantly? I swear earlier this morning they were talking about landfall around 7-8pm

Why is there no recon flight in now?

Youd think there would be pretty much constant recon in there 24-48 hours from landfall
