You see those souped up offshore rainfall totals with these systems because they’re feeding off the energy from the water. It’ll rain plenty over Louisiana but not those crazy numbers that are offshore. Then once the front makes its way into Louisiana by Saturday it’ll dry things out and sweep the low farther south. Then we’ll have to see what it decides to do as it drifts over the western gulf with its thumb in its arse like LSU’s 2nd half playcalling.

Next week could turn into a similar setup as we’ve been facing the last couple days. 90L has model support from all the models that it will track back south into the BOC over the next few days, and then come back north, basically riding the Texas coastline north back towards Louisiana. Rain should be the main problem but can’t rule out a weak system.
