New info out that suggests GLP-1 drugs like ozempic can be effective against some cancers including liver.
Prayers for your pops!

Probably radio frequency abalation , tumor destroyed using a an instrument that uses radiowave energy to destroy the bad tissue
Had that done to an area of metastasis in my liver

Ty much. Was reading that when a cancer jumps from one organ to another it is thought to be stage 4 . Did I read that right. My mind right now is even worse than usual.

Sorry to hear this.
My dad was 72 when they found spots on his liver. They did one targeted treatment where they installed radioactive pellets on the spots directly. That was in 2022. The treatment helped but it did not eradicate them. He fared pretty well with the treatment . He was an active person and it didn't really slow him down that much. In late 2023 they did a second treatment that was a little stronger and placed on all of his spots. There was a spot during the first treatment that they couldn't quite get to. This was in mid-December and he walked into the treatment feeling perfectly fine. He died in 2024 on leap year day from liver failure. 2.5 months after the treatment. The treatment shut his liver down and he died a painful death from liver failure. To this day, I wonder if he would still be alive if he just quit the treatment. It was a very hard time. He wasn't quite 74 when he passed.
I wish you guys luck and don't be afraid to ask a lot of questions to the doctors. Sometimes I feel they only care about trying to attack the cancer and not think about the collateral damage it may cause.

Sorry, man. My cousin had liver cancer, but it was too late by the time they figured it out. There was a lot of pain management / palliative care and he didn't want to see anyone. It was rough.

Thats tough to read, man. My condolences to you and your family.

Mine was Stage 4 from colon. Just had the one met in liver. Was abalated by radio frequency at the time of my other tumor removal. Need blessed these past 7 years to be cancer free. Your father is in my prayers, don’t give up. Don’t let him either!

I’m not trying to be a downer, but this is how my dad’s progressed. Lungs, it was treated. Good for a year, then spots on his liver. He was given a year and died within a month as it had went to his brain. At 87 he has had a full life. Just enjoy the remaining moments yall have together. I never knew how much I’d miss him until he was gone. It’s been a little over a year now and I miss him daily, he always had the best advice.

I am selfish and want him forever. Love the guy with all my heart. It’s def is his decision. Mom is 88 and taking it hard . Dad is very calm can tell worried though.

Did pain management work? Really hope he doesn’t hurt much. He definitely don’t deserve that.
