Beautiful! My Dad wrote my brother and I each a similar letter a number of years ago and mailed them to us. He said many things, including how my mother and us kids had made his life worth living. It is beautiful. He passed away a few years ago at age 100, 7 months. I treasure it, as do you. ??

Great story. Thanks for sharing.

When we went on our senior retreat, our parents were asked to wring us letters...which I still have thankfully.

My mom passed away 5 years ago and now I'm trying to think of how to ask my dad to do something like this.

What a gift.

I have a journal for each of my kids. I’ve skipped so many years in it but am working to catch them up.

It’s so important to me that my kids know how loved they were and how hard I tried to do what I knew to do.

I cry writing the entries. They don’t even know that I have these.

My grandfather left me and my dad a letter that my grandmother gave us on the first Christmas of his passing. Man that was an emotional read.
