Former Scottish PE teacher investigated for after prom sex

Known only as Pupil A, he gave evidence at an investigation being conducted by the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS) relating to allegations against the teacher, who has been named as Melissa Tweedie, now 27, The Sun reports.
Ms Tweedie was 23 at the time the incident is alleged to have taken place, and Pupil A was 18. The incident was investigated by police at the time and it was found no criminality had taken place.
Ms Tweedie now works as a yoga teacher.
The former PE teacher at Gleniffer High School in Paisley, Renfrewshire, was with graduating students at their formal in 2017 when it is alleged she joined them at an afterparty at a hotel before having sex with the student.
Pupil A told the GTCS hearing that he “felt sorry” that Ms Tweedie is being investigated over the event.
Ms Tweedie faces being struck off the register by the GTCS.

The dude was 18, if he had just met her at a bar, there is no problem. Is it in bad taste and does it undermine the entire teacher student relationship? Yes and yes. Should she lose her teaching job? probably. should she be considered a criminal? No.
