I had some Acadiana History professor at LSU who loved EE. It always seemed so odd how he felt all buddy-buddy with that pos.

Half this thread is arguing about what ‘hospice care’ means and the other half is people reminding us how much of a piece of shite he was. Lol

He was actually a great guy, to those he wanted to be great to. But if you didn’t fit in his clic he was a slime ball.

Was Jindal really governor of LA? All I remember about him is that he used state funds to campaign for President. He never really got anything done because he was either too busy traveling outside the state endorsing other politicians or campaigning for himself during his embarrassing run for President.

Jindal was a shill. We have Mike foster to thank for Jindal. He also destroyed the state with his cuts to everything.

So he bought and paid those who could further his personal agenda and bank account, but wasn’t kind to those that couldn’t help him. That’s Mkt called being a great man, that’s called being a selfish a-hole.

The fact he did this with LA tax payer money and his actions are directly related to a lot of the f’ed up political situation is currently in makes him even bigger if an a-hole.

You’re completely discounting his first 4 years. His last 4 years though I’m not going to argue.

EE was a piece of shite, however I did vote for him over David Duke.

I should have just refrained from voting.

If he was so corrupt why did the people of the state keep re- elect him?????

Because Edwin gave out a lot of favors while also taking his share. "I got mine" mentality wins out every time.

ETA: If he wasn't corrupt, why did he serve 8 years in a federal penitentiary for accepting bribes?

Louisiana was doomed well before Jindal. We just didn't know it yet (or accept). When things like infrastructure and investment could actually happen and be #1 we had politicians like EE lining their pockets. Now Socialism is #1 and actual infrastructure projects are far too difficult.

All of the productive members of our state left for the states that did invest.

This all was going on before Jindal.

The jungle primary system made the Duke-EWE election possible. Any of the republicans besides Duke would have easily beat EWE in the general election. EWE would have gotten maybe 40% of the vote.

Because he was a smooth talking socially conservative physically progressive Democrat. Most people do not pay attention to the details, but those that do didn’t want to vote for him.

May God have mercy on his corrupt, greedy, defiant soul.

Good fricking riddance.

Hospice doesn't always mean that

Hospice is literally designed solely to make a patient with an incurable illness comfortable in their final days. They give you a comfortable room and good drugs so you don’t suffer until death

went through this recently with my mom, doc authorized morphine every two hours as desired? you might say I pulled the trigger, once I realized that she wasn't going to wake up again and quality of life was long gone I said bring it every two hours, she died after one dose
