you rolling an Eco Boost raptor?

Yeah guilty. I was sketchy on my first F150 because it had a 3.5 Eco but like I said I got 140K out of it. I was gonna get another Tundra but they have Eco motors now too and I wasn't gonna got GM and hell no on Rams.

With what I got for my current Ford on trade, I rolled the dice on the Raptor.

Ten years ago that truck would have maybe had an MSRP of $80k. Unreal what has become of auto pricing.

That makes the Raptor R the most expensive pickup Ford has ever offered.

I had a 2020 Raptor that I paid $76k for in September of 2020. It was too big for my needs but was an awesome vehicle. I traded it in in December of 2021 for $72,000. I was very happy with the way it held its value.

I've had a couple of Raptors and the TRX is by far more fun to drive than the Fords were, not to mention it not sounding like a Honda Goldwing when I hammered down on it.

Nah. they pipe V8 sounds in through the stereo. Because the people this matters to don't know the difference.

Idiots.

And my TRX still has 2 more hp, what a complete fail from Ford.

You jest but in the weird world of vehicle journalism and fanboyism it kinda is.

The 5.2 in the Raptor R is a detuned motor so they could have easily stopped at 510hp and the only negative would have been the torque peak was a few RPMs higher.

That said the torque is higher than the GT500 motor and the plateau is wider, but still 10 pound feet down on the TRX.

None of that makes anything but a bench racing, and forum disrupting difference since the TRX is hauling 400 pounds more arse.

This is a "market adjusted" price. No way they jump $40k to get a V8 if everybody wasn't acting dumb paying sky high prices for vehicles right now.

I would need a special edition Porsche at minimum to jump the $100k barrier.

Used Raptors are selling for A LOT of money right now and have been for years.

You completely ignored the part of the post that addressed high prices NOW. Buying a Ford and assuming the resale market will hold up during your 84-month note is risky.

I see no value in any up-model Ford, sorry. If you were to count all the vehicles on rollbacks in a given day, you might not be surprised. I literally as in just literally got done talking to my neighbor. One of their Fords left them stranded 2 states away this weekend, for the 2nd time in just a couple years. $80,000 truck that you can't even depend on.

Hell, I thought the TRX was a good but heavier than the Raptors. Either way, both are fun to drive and the ride on these shitty Louisiana roads make it worth the price imo.

And less than 1% of all of them will ever actually be seen off of the pavement.

I cannot fathom any idiot that would pay that for a stupid truck. Especially in these times of economic uncertainty
