That's easy. The computer will tell them. Even if you put the factory programming back in, the computer will indicate it's been flashed after it left the factory.

It's almost like carmakers could foresee that people would try to change the programming on the vehicle's computers, frick up their vehicles, and try to get them to fix it for free.

what about 2nd and 3rd owners of trucks? how do they know a ford tech didnt do something for you as opposed to doing it yourself?

regardless, yes, I only recommend changing little things like what I did. don't get into engine or critical component stuff, i'd hate to punch in a 2 instead of a 1 and brick my ride

Can you give a brief description of set up?

So it doesn't stay plugged in? You just plug it in initially and then again if you need to make any changes?

these are all factory options and not "tuning options,"
If its factory options then why do I need to plug in some adapter and run a separate program instead of being able to just change the settings using the steering wheel buttons and dashboard heads up display?

Yeah I changed my tpms. Added automatic lights and had to activate the light sensor for them to work.

A few other things. I'd live to be able to turn off the fricking key in ignition chime. I screwed around with it and couldn't find the right code.

Maybe someone has found it by now.

Because they’ll have documentation of a dealer visit that’ll match up with the logging timestamp?

This is a serious question?

Can you make Sync 3 stop playing the music list from your phone automatically when you first get into your truck?

Very annoying.
