U.S. automaker Ford Motor Company is dramatically scaling back an electric vehicle (EV) battery plant under construction in Michigan as its EV business continues to lose billions of dollars.

Get ready to bail out Ford again.

Government Motors got the bailout, not Ford.

Although I wouldn't have expected "billions" with a B.

Leave it to green eco-nuts to dive into a "solution" without a clue. Our power grid is on the verge of brown-outs and black-outs and few new plants are being built while old plants are being forced to shutdown, but green phantasy is going to provide electricity.

They have paused a battery plant in Kentucky as well.

In Biden's America, if you want a pickup truck, it will cost you $160K and will go 250 miles and need 8 hours to charge so you can go another 200 miles.

Are we still talking about this? Ford pulling up a bunch of capital losses to run from taxes isn't exactly a shocking business practice.

Yep. My cousin bought a tesla and is driving in for Thanksgiving from Arizona. He is having to stop 16 times and each time it takes 7 hours to charge. He might be late for Thanksgiving.

I wouldn’t doubt there is suddenly all this bad press on EV’s just to tank Tesla and by extension, Elon.
I mean is it that outlandish of a theory?

Honestly I like that these major car manufacturers are getting mauled in the EV market. The longer boutique companies like Tesla can remain the exception, the longer Tesla drivers will be able to take advantage of saving at the pump, getting the tax incentives, etc.

Y'all think that Tesla drivers have some desire to see EV's take over the market when it's anything but that. They are much happier being the exception to the rule.

Nah. EVs are just woke junk and everyone finally realizes it. Every time u stop to charge it a tranny shows up and you have to blow them.

Yeah, it's pretty stupid.

Elon does a fine job on his own driving the value of his companies into the dirt.

Thread jack; why did Ford stop making the Excursion when Chevy is still making the Suburban?

Honestly, outside of trucks, they suck.

They should focus on trucks only and just own that market space.
