This has nothing to do with progressive fascists...Ford is just phasing out production and closing the plant.
Car rental companies and Karens everywhere are going to be very upset.

The future of the Ford Edge crossover SUV and the Canadian plant where it is built may be in question.
That's according to automotive forecaster Sam Fiorani of Pennsylvania-based AutoForecast Solutions LLC, who told numerous media outlets he's heard from "multiple sources" in the automotive industry that Ford plans to cancel the Edge after the current generation model expires in 2023.

The potential elimination of the Edge calls into question the future of Oakville Assembly, which dates back to 1953. Unifor said the plant, which is located between Toronto and Hamilton, employs about 4,200.
The plant has ceased building the Ford Flex and Lincoln MKT and is also set to phase out the Lincoln Nautilus. That would leave the Edge as the plant's only remaining product, at least as of now.

Ha my sister has one of these. It's not a bad vehicle, though her husband tried his best to talk her into something else.

Henry Ford was a Nazi. True story.

So ford isn’t going to make cars anymore and they’re phasing our crossovers? So just SUVs and Trucks now?

With the Explorer and Escape, the Edge was pointless anyway.

Wife has been in an Edge for 6 or 7 years now. It's been a pretty solid vehicle with minimal problems.

I had a Ford Edge and hated it. It was trash

I don't think Ford can explain their strategy at this point.
They were going to focus on crossovers and SUVs and cancel their sedans. Then they shite the bed on their Ford Explorer redesign. Now they are canceling the Edge?

I always thought the Edge was a good looking SUV. Not a fan of the black color posted (don't ban me).
Simple and stylish.

What year? I have the '15 Sport with every option but awd. Outside of some massive torque steer, it's been a blast to have.

The folks I know with a Ford Edge absolutely hated it. Ford probably gave up on it because it sucks, even by their standards.

Sales are not nearly high enough to warrant keeping a plant open by itself. Since that is the only thing made there they are likely losing money on every one.

Besides the stupid door sensor issue, ours has been reliable

Probably like 10 years old. My sister has one that she likes. My Edge gave me nothing but problems. Not in a Ford anymore because of it

Also known as The Great White North. I believe this now goes in the unacceptable pile.
