"In the Dark" season 2 is somewhat of a cold case. It is an unbelievable story that is probably one of the best true crime podcast you will ever listen to. It will almost bring you to tears at the injustices that one man faced in the crosshairs of a ignorant and racist District attorney

and now that the guys is in for life for murder in Peru, why does he not admit and tell details of N Holloway?

He has nothing to gain from that and could maybe use it as leverage down the road. Also he was sentenced to 28 years sadly. Not life.

That was an interesting follow for sure. Can’t believe that was 12 years ago. Seems like just a few years ago.

I always thought that the Hinterkaifeck murders were pretty interesting.

He was convicted twice (Mickey Schunick & Lisa Pate). They found the wallet and driver's license of Madeline Aumiller of Texas in Lavergne's home, but I'm not sure if anything ever came from that.

He also raped a girl I knew from high school

The Boca Raton Mall murders loom very
large in my mind. Looks like Delphi is solved. DNA solved my friend Tina Kristynik’s murder. I’ve written about my personal connection to the Jon Benet case and have nothing to add to that. I was obsessed with the Golden State killer and that got resolved. That case of the two kids on the tracks in Arkansas is crazy. That kid in Texas that wrecked his car and wandered off is crazy. So many. The Vanishing is an awesome podcast btw, to whoever mentioned it.

It’s made news here recently. They were re-doing some searches because it was the 2-3 year anniversary but don’t recall if they found anything. Such a bizarre situation.

I used to really wonder about Brian Shaffer, but the more I read about the case, the more I think he just ditched to go live like a poor Jimmy Buffet type down in Mexico. His buddy Clint knows what's up.

Honestly, if I start watching or listening to anything about a cold case they all become interesting. I am not sure if I can point to one as my favorite.

The murders of Russell and Shirley Dermond. Anyone from GA should remember this case from 2014, when these two in the mid-late eighties were found decapitated (Russell) and drowned (Shirley) on Lake Oconee. This shook the community for years. They still haven’t found Russell’s head

Apparently the police earlier this year got some new cell phone data using new technology and have turned it over to the FBI.

This case was absolutely nuts.

I remember this, and it's so sad that her death is unsolved. Georgia Moses' kidnapping/murder didn't get nearly the same press as Polly Klass. Before those, the Salcido family murders were totally sensationalized by the PD paper, the killer is still on death row. More recently there was the 2012 Halloween murder of Michaela Wooldridge on 4th St, but that was solved after 2 years. I know some info on that case that was never released, by word of mouth.

How the fuq have they not done a genealogical database search yet. So many cold cas s are being solved with even the minutest samples. This case is 100% solvable. Someone doesn't want it solved.

Supposedly, the Boulder police do not have the expertise to do anything with that small trace of DNA. The father wants an outside agency to assist, one that’s trained in extrapolating DNA from that small sample, but the police have not allowed that yet….they don’t want that damaged by an outside group

2 more from Canada - Barry and Honey Sherman- . So bizarre. And Lindsay Buziak- the real estate agent that was set up for murder at a showing . The details of that are crazy.

Oh and that fitness teacher who was murdered in Texas at the church where they have the crazy video of the perp .

The brother did it. I saw clips of when investigators interviewed him and you could tell he was coached and how to respond. I think the parents know he did it and a covering for him.
