For Those Who Oppose Legalizing All Or Most Drugs What Is You Reason?

If you oppose legalizing all or most drugs, what is your reason for doing so?
I support legalizing all of most drugs for two reasons.
- I think it would cut down gang/drug related crimes (especially murder).
- There will always be a certain percentage of the population who uses drugs. If it is sold legally, they can go somewhere and buy it safely and they know what they are getting and maybe through these avenues to buy it legally, there could also be away to offer help to those who really want to get clean.
I am sure a lot of people think that if they are all legalized it would be easier for more people to have access to, but would it really be any more easy to get if legalized than it is now? Its not really that hard to get. Anyone who really wants it can find it.

I am in no way saying drugs are good. Cigarettes are bad and its legal. Alcohol is a drug and its legal. So why is it okay for those to be legal and not others?

Gangs/Drug cartels-do you think they’ll just go legit, form an LLC and pay taxes? Maybe hire a marketing person to fend off competitors? The answer is hell no.
If it’s sold legally, as someone who chooses not to partake, I do not want to be on the hook for the multitude of welfare programs for the addicts that legalization will produce.

This. Natural drugs (MJ and shrooms) should be legal. You can't overdose and they aren't addictive. Anything that requires chemicals or alteration should be illegal.

Do hard drugs, lose/miss work --> no work, no money --> no money to buy drugs, commit crimes --> drug related crimes go through the roof

I understand weed. But meth, coke, heroine??? Why would you want those things legalized? Those are acutely dangerous to produce and ingest. They're in a whole different category, and should have deterrents in place.
