What I remember from the movie is not to use a car radiator to run your shine through.

I saw a documentary on Prime about the Dixie Mafia. He was mentioned in it.

If someone tampers with your tire rods, you’re pretty much screwed. 100% chance your car will explode in a giant fireball.

Okay…I always thought he was corrupt but didn’t realize it was that bad. Is there a book that details his corruption and shittiness that someone could recommend?
This dude is Ham's, the OP here, buddy or neighbor or something. I believe he also wrote a book, but the terrible grammar would make it a tough read. Anyway, he's been bordering on complete obsession for years it seems, and is one of the driving forces in the reexamination of who Pusser really was.

The Dixie Mafia robbed my granddad and some others while they were playing cards at a country club in southwest Georgia. Cleaned them pretty good. Couldn’t call the sheriff because he was playing cards too haha

One of my favorite albums of all time.
Those guys went hard in their prime.

If it was near Phenix City that sheriff was probably in on it.

He took one in the face. The narrative that it was more than one is false.
Taking a .30 caliber to the jaw wouldn’t be the most convenient way to cover up a murder. I’m assuming by your nonchalant way of describing it that you have no idea the complete destruction and devastation a .30 cal round will cause.

Buford got shot several times in the face during the ambush. Would be a hell of a way to fake a murder.
That’s what I was thinking. I remember that he damn near died himself.
I hope they have more than the words of a conspiracy theorist to order an exhumation.

Young, angry Patterson and Cooley combined with young, drunk Isbell was a hell of a band.

They used to play Tuscaloosa while I was in school.
It’s a damn travesty they never made it nationally, really more of a statement about the music industry than about them IMO.

Holy shite! Same thing happened to my grandfather and friends in NE AR in the 70’s.
Guys were waiting for them as they walked into the house where they held their dice game.
If memory servers me right there was a bunch out of Texarkana that pulled these types of jobs on private games all over the south.

That’s crazy. Sounds like it was a hodgepodge of groups that operated loosely under the title of the Dixie Mafia. I need to read a book on them. Can’t imagine they’re as relevant today as they once were.
