Was so irritated about this last night.
I get doing it at midnight on New Years, but not the 4th. Especially when the next day is a working day for most. Got horrible sleep since the idiots near here were setting off canons from 8-1A. So inconsiderate.

Buy some fireworks and save them for 6:00am when you leave for work.
If they can shoot July 5th am fireworks so can you.

I wish I lived in Pineville on days like this. We had so much space between the houses in my childhood neighborhood so even if they were shooting off, it didn't sound like it was outside your window.
Plus, we didn't shoot them until midnight on the 4th, our parents made us come in by a decent time. NYE was different, but most everyone was awake, anyway.

Now see this is a reasonable way to get your complaint in. Not whine about it like some little girl.
If I was shooting fireworks at midnight last night and my neighbor did this, I wouldn't even be mad. I'd tip my cap to him.

Exactly. If your dog gets scared by fireworks....go to your vet and they can give you meds to give your dogs so they don't freak out. People pop fireworks on the 4th of July and NYE...it's up to you to accept that and act appropriately in the best interest of your dog.
Thankfully our dogs aren't scared by fireworks. We even brought them with us to a park last night to watch fireworks...they didn't care at all. Just laid on the ground watching them with us.
