Assuming you have IBS-D, Imodium. The problem is you have to anticipate when you might have issues, which can be tricky.

You’re being downvoted because people don’t want to hear the truth. People want to continue with bad nutrition and just take a pill to continue doing so. Fact.
You’re right. Honestly, same as what you say in the threads about finances/economy. All these people would be rich AND healthy if they just stopped with the Starbucks.
I think allergies are a scam as well. You’re allergic to peanuts? Eat more to build up your immunities.

I have Ulcerative Colitis with IBS-C.. I take 4 Masalamine pills every day. I can assure you I need the pills or the toilet will look like a crime scene when you have a successful BM ( not many) . UC is just like Crohns except it is all throughout the lining of the colon and you are more likely to get colon cancer if not treated /checked .

I am going to make a suggestion and it will sound like nonsense
Try The Nerva App
I thought the premise was ridiculous, Like a series of guided meditation excercises will actually work? but, it does, and I don't really know how
I bit the bullet and did the free trial. After about 2 weeks I actually notcied a difference, so I bit the bullet and bought the program for a year (Not cheap). I would say that I had about an 80%-90% improvement in symproms at the completion and I have not had to return to the app since completion of the 6 week program and I can eat pretty much whatever I want. They claim some pretty impressive success statistics which I know actually believe

Seed pre/probiotic. Water. Whole foods. Minimize alcohol, unless you just don't want the gut biome to be right and can live with it. Don't take aleve often. Eat less in portions when eating meals. Light snacking only. idk that i have ibs per se, but i got my gallbladder removed, so.

I've had IBS-D since I was a teenager. Just have to figure out what foods don't agree with you and avoid them. Get used to taking a shite at least three times a day, and strengthen those but muscles to be able to hold it in until you can get to a bathroom.

I developed IBS-D ~20 yrs ago. My trigger is spicy food and I eat healthy and clean with minimal carbs or processed foods. I'm not willing to give up spicy food completely,so I just have to be mindful of when I consume it and avoid it before a flight or any other time when I won't have easy/immediate access to facilities.

As a Crohns haver which is a little different than IBS but still shitty. As said, get the food sorted and scope out bathroom locations.

Same. Mine started in Hs. It began as constipation, and my PCP gave me a trial medicine called Zelnorm. It acted as a laxative. Ever since then I’ve been IBS-D and not C. I have all the fun stuff. Frequent trips to the restroom. God bless the folks that believe in a single toilet restroom and the “occupied” deadbolt.

And may god punish those who leave 1+ inch gaps between the door and frame in the stalls.
For a while doctors though I might have IBS, but it turns out that I had some strange food sensitivities. Turns out stabilizers that they use is foods like food gums and carrageenan cause me to have some serious issues.
"These indigestible polysaccharides (plant-based gums and seaweed extracts) absorb water in the digestive tract and can alter gut bacteria. For individuals with sensitive guts, they frequently cause bloating, cramping, and diarrhea."
I had a doc suggest I take a probiotic and Esomeprazole a while back. The Esomeprazole was for the regular reflux I'd get with the other issues.
Since then it's been smooth sailing for the better part of 10 years now.

Major stomach cramps, usually onset by certain foods but not always.
Ask a doctor about Hyoscyamine to treat it. Smooth muscle relaxer targeting the intestines. Major improvement.

IBS is a lot like ADHD and anxiety. They are real things for some people. However, everyone and their mother now claim they have it because everyone wants to be special, and doctors just go along with it vs being an actual respectable professional and telling them no, they don’t.
I’m really no expert, but, If eating like a respectable adult doesn’t work, a prescription for an antispasmodic may help, but doubtful. Most seem to manage it with small portions, avoiding trigger foods, and keeping Imodium on hand basically at all times. Waiting a bit before departing a restaurant is beneficial, and for the older crowd who are losing their ability to tighten up, keep some heavy duty trash bags in your car within arms reach to limit a mess should the need arise.
