For the active members, FitBit and RoadID have come together to make you safer

As a result, your Fitbit Flex is now a lot safer and your wrist is a little less crowded. Allow us to introduce Road ID for Fitbit Flex. This nifty ID faceplate is precision-crafted to slide onto your existing Fitbit Flex - no modification needed. It was engineered with the same craftsmanship and quality that you've come to expect from us. To top it off, we're including a uniquely designed Safety Cuff to ensure the snap clasp on your Flex band stays closed - protecting your Fitbit and Road ID from accidental loss. Fitness tracking and peace of mind just made a baby.
I'm stoked.

I already feel low jacked with the wristband... Now they want to bar code me?!?

I don't get it. Why are people's phone numbers on there?

Is this for dumbass bicyclists who ride on roads that are too dangerous for bikes?

It's for anyone.
First responders, cyclists, runners, etc.
The numbers are on there in the event you're involved in an accident and knocked unconscious. Say, either by being hit by a car backing out of a driveway, or by suffering heat stroke. They're your emergency contacts.

Kinda neat I guess but what would make you so excited about this?
"frick yeah! They're gonna call the shite out of my wife when some truck flattens my arse!"

So when some drunken redneck smashes them with a pickup truck, the hospital will know who to call to identify the corpse.

It's just an enhancement to an already very neat device...
Accurately tracks daily steps, stairs climbed, distance, calories burned, and activity level via 3-d motion sensor and altimeter technology
Measures how long and how well you sleep - just wear it on your wrist at night with Fitbit wristband (included)
Small and discreet enough to wear all day- tuck it into a pocket or clip it to a belt or bra
Wirelessly uploads data to Fitbit.com; No monthly fee
See online graphs, compete with friends, earn new badges and log food, weight and other workouts at Fitbit.com and on new iPhone app

They can just look at my license in my wallet or my I phone for my relatives phone numbers.
I don't see the point of this.

You carry your wallet and phone to jog/exercise outdoors?
Posted on 7/18/15 at 6:08 pm to Slinky
Can't I do that with a label maker?

I don't understand the questions asking what this is for. Shouldn't common sense tell you that???
