LOL! I'm thinking it's time to hire a lawyer.

Why would you want him to get taken for the same money twice?

So in Florida you can just walk around a casino pushing buttons on machines other people are sitting at and they have to give you the winnings because you pushed the button?

It's a federal issue because the casino is not subject to Florida law. It was at the seminole hard rock casino.

quote:

Seminole spokesman Gary Bitner couldn’t say much, but did reiterate the rule when it comes to gambling: “The person who pushes a slot machine button or pulls the arm is the person who wins the jackpot.”

If I were that guy id walk around that casino for a week just pushing the button on other people's machines since apparently there's nothing illegal about it

I'm sure if you have video evidence that someone "stole" your pull it'd be different than you giving someone the pull. What he did was basically give her 50 bucks by letting her push the button. Technically she turned it into 100k. He gave her the 50 and the use of the machine.

Now, what a royal count she is. But it is funny. She should have at least thrown a 50 his way

She also said she did not feel safe from him and had security escort her to her car.

He is a snowbird from NY. He is not mega wealthy but has enough money to maintain two residences and put $50 in slot machines.

She will be a victim soon and did everything she could to earn it.

It was at the Seminole Hard Rock property but I'm not sure I'm all in on the rest of this statement.

Just because an Indian Nation has some jurisdiction doesn't mean they have absolute freedom to do anything they want. If this were true, they'd have Sports Betting on premises. And they could suspend or alter portions of the UCC in their favor.

Zevon's "Seminole Bingo" LINK comes to mind.

This happened to a friend at Amelia Belle. We were all shitfaced and taking turns pushing the button. Someone other than my friend hit 2k, and they paid that person. We were so drunk that they had to watch the video to see who spuns the wheel

Sounds like $50 well spent. He might not have found out what kind of person she was until after he married her.

I bet she knew about the policy all along. Is she Russian or one of those mail order bride types. First name, Marina very common in Russia and those areas. Not so sure about Navarro. Maybe she was a mail order bride and no longer with her groom.

That's wealthy enough to hire a hit man.

Not condoning such a practice, you understand. Just saying...

Fair enough, but apparently this rule is not unique to Florida.

quote:

Seminole spokesman Gary Bitner said the tribe keeps gambler information confidential and there would be no further comment, other than to state that the casino was simply following the rules created long before there was gambling in Florida — the pusher of the button is the winner of the loot.

Frank Legato, editor of Global Gaming Business magazine, who has testified as a legal expert in slots cases, says the rule is universal.

“Pressing the spin button is really the act of making the wager,” he said. Lawyers appear to agree, Flato said. “No one would take the case,” Flato said. “That jackpot money is long gone.”
