As a golfer, I bring my own balls to the course. Do kick golfers have balls or will the course need to provide them?

So if/when they shutdown the LSU course, golfers can go to Howell.

Don't worry. They'd rather turn the whole system upside down rather than piss off a handful of people in north BR.

I grew up playing those courses. Time has passed them by.

I admire the new guy trying something though.

It'll be a championship foot golf course.

There is also a foot golf course at Bayou Country Club in thibodaux, LA.

I sent an email about 2 years ago suggesting this. I think it would be hit around here.

When you play foot golf, will they let you rent a cart?

As long as they keep it at those courses I'm fine with it. If it creeps over to Santa Maria, thats when shiz hits the fan

Santa Maria doesn't need any help with revenue

If Baton Rouge wants to really progress as a city, they need to eliminate the golf course at City Park and create a centrally located all-purpose community park for the city and all its denizens. Golf is dying, and yet the primo location that is City Park is used for 9 holes that are unnecessary in a city that owns so many other courses.

The one here in NOLA does but it's really not necessary. The holes aren't as long as regular golf. It's a good idea to go out with a foursome and rent one cart for hauling the ice chest.

If any of these courses are opening up in your neighborhood I suggest selling now.

Have you ever been to the area? Serious question. There is a dog park, two kids playgrounds, fishing ponds, tennis courts, walking paths, large lakes, and jogging/biking. What do you want them to do with the course?

Yes, I'm in BR nearly once every month for work. You can create walking trails, an outdoor amphitheater, sculpture garden, botanical garden, Frisbee golf, etc. Golf is for a very select few people who can afford clubs, and frankly they should go elsewhere. The course can be transitioned to big open spaces where people can throw out a blanket, have a picnic, kite with the kids, or toss the ball. They could put a cafe where people can gather for a coffee, snack or lunch.

City Park should be for all the people. It should be a focal point and gathering place for the city.

I'm pretty excited.

But I frequent the soccer board So...

I will be out there in my slacks and collared shirt play a good ole round of footgolf

And at least now, my slice will be on purpose unlike my horrible golf swing

Is that big arse hole in the ground going to be considered a golfing water hazard once it fills with water?
