Footage from 1963 about the development and construction of the Corvette Sting Ray

This film is long at 19 minutes but fascinating with regards to the development of the Sting Ray.

That moment when the first body is set down on the frame is like watching the creation of timeless art.

If you like this stuff trust me stick with it to the end.

Awesome find.

Always thought the stingray was unparalleled in American automotive history.

The Corvette Museum & the factory in Bowling Green is pretty awesome to visit.

Just a small shout out to the gentleman in the video at 7:25. His name is Rich Blair, a fixture for many years at the St Louis plant. He turned out thousands of seats during his time there. Just one of the many workers at that time.

It's good. My understanding is the (STL) plant location is just an empty field now.

Some friends of mine recently visited. The museum turned that sinkhole incident into an exhibit. One (or maybe more) of the cars recovered from the hole is on display.

I think Corvettes are great and I'm sure the museum is wonderful, but I'd be more interested in seeing how they stabilized the hole and repaired the building.
