This, and/or what "nice steak place" actually serves deviled eggs. You talking about Sizzler or something OP?

It can last a lot longer than 2 days. I shite and puked for 9 hrs it took me 2 weeks to get back where I could eat somewhat normal. Eat lots of yogurt.

The two times I got food poisoning, I wasn't entirely normal for about a week. 24-48 hours was the worst time but my stomach was a mess for about a week.

Yes it sucks unlike anything else. In my experiences it runs its course in less than a day.

Absolute sickest I've ever been in my life. Sit on the commode with a garbage can between your legs and taking turns with which end spews. I get sick just thinking about it

Last time I had food poisoning, it lasted for almost a week. I was better in time to catch a Sunday game at The Box. I think I ate almost everything on the concession menu because I hadn't eaten in days

Yeah you may have picked up a stomach virus, hot shot. Food poisoning will make you feel like the black death has taken your soul and you'd be nowhere near a gym. I had food poisoning a couple of years ago and didn't even really go anywhere besides the route of bed to sleep for 20 minutes then spend 8 hours on the toilet while puking in the tub, then to the clinic to get an IV and some scripts. After it ran out of steam it was still another day or two before I went to work because of how sore my body was from puking.

You're not going to get fat from staying home a couple of days, chances are you just spread your virus to a few souls who didn't think someone would be dumb enough to go to the gym with a stomach virus.

This. It never ceases to amaze me how people can be so inconsiderate of others with something as simple as not exposing them to their illness.

Stay the frick home you stupid arse.

Food poisoning that puts you in the hospital for 9days and you loose 15lbs. will knock your teeth out.
Once you have been through that (no offense) I would call what you have a stomach virus.

I got a bad case from a sushi joint in Indy. I was down for 3 days and I thought that was bad. You might have another illness in addition to the poisoning.

Imagine all the places at the gym he touched with his infected hands.

I should investigate the "do you wash your hands after using the bathroom" thread to see if he is one of the nasty ones that does not.

You don't have food poisoning. I spent two days in our lady of the lake in 98 with severe food poisoning. Same bacteria found often in fecal matter.....yack!

Trust me, you would be nowhere near a gym much less have any stamina to try and exercise.

Yeah sounds like its a virus

My shite still looks like a peanut butter smoothie and my stomach won't stop gargling 24 hours a day

Taking a probiotic and hopefully by mid week ill be ok.

Oh yeah and the steak place didn't have it on the menu btw, it's was a free chef tasting that had Cavier on it. It was high end, my steak was $55 for meat alone

Who orders deviled eggs at a "nice steak place"?

there are many bad arse establishments in TX that serve spiffied up versions of deviled eggs. Lamberts in Austin is one and they are awesome.

True story.

I'm married to my third wife.

On my wedding day for wife 1 and wife 2, I got food poisoning. Both times landed me in the hospital.

Wife 3, no such problem. And viola', still going strong.

So, for me, "food poisoning = LISTEN TO THE OMEN!!!!"

I had it on my birthday in December. Worst of it was roughly 24 hrs. I literally couldnt ingest anything for over 32 hours though. Started feeling better but was still weak and nauseas for another 24 hrs. Was just weak after that for a couple days. It really takes it out of you......from both ends.....
