It's a military study and a well known reaction to the flu shot to have respiratory co-infections. It would be wise to NOT get a flu shot if you haven't.
It went from 5.8% to 7.8%.
It also seems to show a decrease among multiple other respiratory viruses when you are vaccinated.
God damn. Some of you are idiots.

Hey intellectual giant. COVID-19 is a coronavirus and respiratory susceptibility is a very well documented and known side effect of any flu vaccine. That's why it remains difficult to have a flu shot that is very effective each year because they don't want to aggravate your lungs if the flu happens to be different than what they have vaccinated you for.
I linked the study showing the 2 year testing and results.
Go ahead and get your damn flu shot if you want to. I'm not stopping you, but don't call bullshite the complications that are well documented and well known by epidemiologists.

Got it. Linking an actual medical study conducted by the Department of Defense is an anti-vax rant.

The more you post the dumber you sound.

You're missing the fact that it's fake news putting fictional spin on an actual study. Nothing personal, but this online BS is exactly how our society is becoming so misinformed.

Receipt of influenza vaccination was not associated with virus interference among our population. Examining virus interference by specific respiratory viruses showed mixed results. Vaccine derived virus interference was significantly associated with coronavirus and human metapneumovirus; however, significant protection with vaccination was associated not only with most influenza viruses, but also parainfluenza, RSV, and non-influenza virus coinfections.
quote:
The overall results of the study showed little to no evidence supporting the association of virus interference and influenza vaccination. Individual respiratory virus results were mixed, and some rebutted virus interference. Additionally those receiving the influenza vaccine were more likely to have no pathogen detected and reduced risk of influenza when compared to unvaccinated individuals. Further research is necessary to help character virus interference and validate or refute the validity of the test-negative design for influenza vaccine effectiveness.

Flu Vaccine increases Coronavirus risk by 36%
This bullshite is gonna get folks killed needlessly. The flu is by numbers a much greater risk than Corona. I screwed around last year and didn't take the flu shot and paid dearly. The flu is much more concerning to have in particular as a young person than Corona as well and spreads at a much higher coverage level by raw numbers.
Spreading this type of information is dangerous. This whole overreacting is dangerous as well and sets some terrible precedents for losing rights by overzealous politicians and ne'er-do-well types. Don't buy into the bs folks.

Good thing this isn't metapneumovirus, that's at 51%!
Or even not having any pathogens detected...that's all the way to 59%! The horror!

CDC discloses number of safety studies showing DTaP vaccines don't cause autismPosted on 3/11/20 at 10:53 am

...and the number is:
ZERO
They literally have no proof, yet they continue to claim them as safe. As the number of childhood mandated vaccines continue to rise, so does the autism rate. 1 in 36 children born this year in the USA will develop autism.
This is a true epidemic and people are too damn stubborn or closed minded to even consider the possibility.

Yeah, landmass is the same clown from yesterday or whatever telling us all to stop vaccinating our kids because no study has been conducted that shows a link between DTaP vaccines and autism so there must be a causal link! What a fricking asshat.

I just don't know why some people start these threads.
I mean, I understand the general idea that people like the OP get off on stirring the antpile and trying to cause a panic but this is the wrong board for that kind of shite.
Most everybody will see right through it, at least one poster (in this case, Scruffy) will have the background and training to explain why it's all bullshite and the thread just turns into a few pages of the OP getting pissy while everybody else abuses him until we all get bored and move on.
Take this shite to Facebook, OP and you'll reel in some paranoid suburban soccer moms and get what you're looking for.

You're cherry picking. Read the study.
quote:
Examining non-influenza viruses specifically, the odds of both coronavirus and human metapneumovirus in vaccinated individuals were significantly higher when compared to unvaccinated individuals (OR?=?1.36 and 1.51, respectively) (Table 5).

I posted the study’s own conclusion on the topic.

Here, I’ll post their own conclusion again for you.

Yes, because you excluded the part about the coronavirus family. The study was bigger than that, however the results when tested against this family showed (according to the study) a significant risk of viral interference.
Dr. Redfield even mentioned this during his testimony before Congress about a COVID-19 vaccine as one of the complicated matters.
Dr. Redfield is a very pro-vax guy as he is the CDC Director.
