Really don't want to put something down that degrades in the LA heat and I step through it in 10 years.

What do you guys suggest?

Yeah...but there's a wide variety. 3/4 inch pressure treated? Or just cheap 1/2 inch?

Spanish Cedar. Used in humidors for this exact reason.

Haha yeah I’m really good at spending other people’s money.

But honest answer is that hard woods will last longer if you’re buying untreated. If you get treated wood (do they even make treated plywood?) then it all should last almost indefinitely.

Definitely make treated plywood.

The answer is a simple google search.

Half inch OSB, and a nail gun.

Good to go...

You're flooring your attic...

We had 1/2" plywood last over 40 years on the outside of a camp...

1/2" non treat ply if over 16" center, 5/8 or 3/4 if 24"centers. 3/4 is some heavy shite though. Also, have you thought about how your going to get a 4x8 sheet up in your attic? If you have to cut it in half or strips then you probably should rule 1/2" out.

Exactly. If you need pressure treated, you have more problems than that.

Home Depot sells attic decking boards. Basically plywood but precut into smaller pieces. It’s a little pricier than buying big sheets of plywood but it saves you from having to make cuts and it’s easy to move up into the attic because of its size.
