Flooded cars in neighborhood question

Our neighborhood was conpletely flooded. We have at least a dozen abandoned cars along the roadway and talking to the neighbors, nobody knows who they belong to. Needless to say, these cars are now causing the road to be very dangerous with all the workers and other people coming in and out.
I tried calling sherriffs office multiple times with no answer. Any other options i can try? These cars need to be removed before something happens. Thanks.

You could try calling 311, but not sure it's going to get you any farther than the Sheriff's office.

Just the muffler off and bring it to a muffler shop. Catalytic converters have some platinum in them. Easy money homey

Will they tow the cars without knowing who the owners are?

Hire Riverside.
The owners of the cars will appreciate you for doing this.

Riverside Towing will gladly take those cars. Then charge the owners thousands because they don;t run so they technically cannot go get them from their yard.

you can't just have cars towed away when the people may be in shelters...kind of a dick move just deal with it. I doubt a tow truck could legally tow them anyway

They aren't supposed to tow cars off public property. I think the sheriffs office is your best bet.

probably random people who committed insurance fraud by putting their vehicles where they knew it would flood

Cleanup is long slow process. You aren't going to be able to rush anything no matter how hard you try. I would just deal with it for now.

claims on insurance will be made, cars will be "repaired" though flooded, and sold somewhere else in the country... buyer beware!

Since the owners are unlikely to pay to get their nonfunctional cars out of hock. that well known towing company will probably charge the OP $225 a pop to move them to the side of the road.

I'm curious as to what you're afraid is going to happen because of these flooded cars.
