Just what we need in Louisiana..
Why not send them to a better funded state. Louisiana already struggles with healthcare and whatnot when it compares to other states.. Why on earth pick Louisiana cities..

I live in a town of 4,000 people and we have about 30 Syrians that have been resettled here. so, 30/4,000 is about 20 times the ratio that a city of 150k would see with 55 refugees.
They have been great neighbors, and the local community/church has really helped them.
There haven't been any problems, and they have been amazingly thankful for all the support given.

The problem is their religion is also their government. And to play by the rules of American democracy they must become untrue to their religion, which does not happen.
They don't assimilate and embrace the host country way of life.

LOL. You'll see. Just saw a story about one family with no father to lead them. They are on all kinds of welfare including state sponsored welfare and private charity.
