It’s a shite show these days. Feel very fortunate if you fly and don’t get delayed. If you’re flying cross-country, I’d factor in an extra day of vacation on the back end of your trip.

Few months ago American group fare to anchorage. Memphis/Dfw/ANC
Memphis leg had a 6 am departure and ar 6:45 pm the night before I get the cancelation notice.
Call the group reservation office and get put on hold for 10 min until 7 pm when the office closed and the phone system hung up on me. I call back and offices closed till Monday.
I call AA customer service and have to find a flight out of St. Louis on my own with enough seats. After an hour the group of 13 was rebooked but the 4 hr drive to STL sucked.

Ditto, flew to BOS last week on United out of MSY. Connected through DCA and all flights were as schedule there and back.

I fly about every week on American. I typically avoid Dallas in the summer due to the rain, and the rolling impact it has on the network.
Delta has similar issues with ATL.
United with Houston too…
Out of the 100 or so flights I’ve been on on this year, zero we’re cancelled, about five—10 were 30 minutes late, and 5 were late enough I missed my connection. Of those, one was a crew arriving late, two were mechanical, and two were weather related. I’m auto rebooked due to status so I was on the next flight out.
At the end of the day, it happens often especially if you travel a lot. The unfortunate part is when you do not travel often and you’re impacted.
Delta has similar issues with ATL.

Flew from New Orleans to Alaska in 9 hours with a 20 min delay. Take me to the casino boys cause these stones are lucky.
