Baltimore saw 51 homicides per 100,000 people in 2018, more than five times the national average, for a grand total of 309 homicide victims. For perspective that's 20 more than were murdered in New York City the same year, despite having less than 10 percent of New York City's population.
Crazy. NYCs decrease in numbers from the 90s is incredible

We don’t do anything half-assed in Louisiana.

Necessary purge IMO
Hence why nothing is really being done to seriously prevent the murders.
Not really sure how a community can prevent murders, other than crack down on the drug and gang culture

It’s almost like Broken Windows Theory, profiling, stop and frisk, and gentrification work.
No wonder leftists hate all those things.

That's from 2018. Nola and BR are both out of the top 5 for 2019.

Birmingham and Jackson had higher murder rates than Nola and BR in 2018 so there really wasn't any LA cities in the top 5.
ETA: Why is a statement of fact being downvoted?

Alexandria makes similar lists like that.
Years ago I bought some weed there, all I remember about the area, was that the road we took to go to the urban housing units had a giant crawfish out beside it.
I wasnt sober to begin with. Wasnt a simple deal, had to go get it. Person I was with was associated with these people. We go into this apartment..two of the 4 african american males have to hold pitbulls, door is open to the back bedroom where a teen black chick in only a thong is working as a prostitute, there are guns, cocaine, rocks and scales. It was just as shady, greasy and depressing as anything I've seen in New Orleans. Heard a lot of cops were killed in 1 day during a shootout there not long after. So people who always act confused when they see Alexandria, LA..i kinda believe it.
Was to the point where I was more worried of being caught there, or even be seen leaving there..than any of those people in the room. I think it was at least 3 felonies just by walking in the door lol
ETA
Seemed kinda close to this
