The little slut whore got it by either getting bit or biting another cat.....it's not that hard to figure out.

Never had a cat with teh AIDS, but FIV isn't necessarily fatal. They contract it from getting into a fight with an infected cat.

He’s gonna die. I had an outdoor cat who had it about 10 years ago. May of changed now, I don’t know.

The little dude who adopted us a while back has this diagnosis and I have researched but maybe someone has advice or suggestions.
Found a little stray about 13 years ago. She was pregnant and emaciated. Took her in and gave all the kittens away once she had them. We got her shots and found out she had it. She lived another 8 years before getting hit by a car. Think they're just a little more suseptible to infections and things but if you take care of the cat they are usually just fine per our vet.

Gotcha, I was thinking you were using the word “them” as a plural, not as a non-binary pronoun for a cat

He already has some serious secondary infections and swollen lymph nodes and such. He showed up emaciated and seemed sickly so when it appeared he didn't belong to anyone and was going to stick around we got him looked at by a vet.

It’s just super contagious. Don’t have or take I’m other cats and you will be fine.
Posted on 1/21/21 at 8:02 pm to madamsquirrel
Is there dog AIDS too?
Posted on 1/21/21 at 8:02 pm to madamsquirrel
Dag AIDS would be tragic, but it’s a fricking cat. Who really gives a shite aboot a fricking cat?
Posted on 1/21/21 at 8:02 pm to madamsquirrel
How about you stop fricking your cat?

It's not a big problem IF he's the only cat in the house. I would talk to your vet about any vitamins or foods that might be good to keep him healthy.
It IS a big problem if there are other cats in the house. It's contagious and the other cats will likely get it as well. And it can kill them.

He's not going to spread FIV to your other cats just with casual contact. Sleeping in the same cat beds, eating out the same bowls, using the same litter box, etc.
He would have to do something like get in a serious fight with a cat, where his fangs puncture the skin and his saliva gets in the open wound.
