For some reason suddenly this year I screw this up about half the time. The damn thing gets tight while it still has a loop in it and I have to cut it off and start over. Not sure wtf i am doing, i have been using this knot my whole life without issue.

The uni knot is actually basiclaly a legit noose. Tied very nearly the same way.

(Also known as a Gallows Knot.)

The Palomar is the best fishing knot for me in terms of strength and ease of making. My life changed when I learned that knot. I'm still mad at my dad for never teaching it to me as a youngster.

Are you wetting it before pulling tight?

This is the one I've used my whole life. My dad taught it to me and said he learned it from a fishing show.

I hate when they block a rural bridge and you have to wait for them to move all their shite.

I was moving fish around the farm in a mack live haul truck once and this group kept laying all their cane poles and tackle across the bridge and every time I came through had to stop 5 minutes and wait on them to move it all. Finally got fed up and laid on the train horn and rolled right through, crushed all their poles and they jumped off the bridge into the canal
