You idiot, why did you call the dr? Should've done a homemade tracheotomy with a filet knife and saved yourself some money.

Now that's some solid advice.

A regular doctors office won't be able to do anything. If it's possibly a small fish bone it's harmless and like Chicken said has most likely already passed and you're feeling the scratch. Bread will dislodge it otherwise.
Now more dangerous bones like chicken bones, when they're stuck you know it... won't be able to turn neck or swallow at all without severe pain. Usually confirm with x-ray/CT and have ENT retrieve with a scope.
Go to an ENT if you must see someone... they could scope you in the office to see if anything there, but again most likely not.

I've tried bread, banana and drank a little vinegar. Don't feel the picking all the time anymore, but still sometimes. Hope it is just scratched.

I have a friend that did this with a small rib bone and it punctured his esophagus, he thought it was hung up and kept drinking water to wash it down. He ended up in ICU for close to a month because he was turning septic. That is why I am worried.

My mom used to work at a former all American LSU defensive line man's ENT office, I called there and they told me to go in and they will do an X-ray to see if it's in there, but didn't say what will happen if it is stuck.

rib bone different than small fish bone. if you don't feel it every time any more then you are fine, it's passed

If your doc tells you a prostate exam is necessary don't believe him. Mine got that by me twice before I figured it out.

i would do that over a primary care doctor.. at least the ent could take a look if they suspect it's there. again though, it doesn't sound like it is. regardless, a primary doc would be a waist of time.

A fish bone is harmless? I would've though any bone that has sharp ends would spell disaster for someones GI path.

My father in law will full catfish off the bone at Port Au Prince and I always worry about him accidentally ingesting one.

Get your wife's 16" black anal dildo and shove it down your throat rotating it slightly until the base hits your teeth.

May or may not get the bone, but you'll at least know what she feels like when she comes over.

Why in the frick would NOT go to the ER for this if it is legitimately stuck in your throat?

Had that happen to a friend. By the time he saw a doctor, the bone was no longer stuck. But it felt like it was still there because it scratched the lining of his throat.

This happened to me as well.

i was at taco bell not long ago and had a pointy taco shell that got lodged in my throat, it wasn't choking me but it was highly discomforting me and i was beginning to freak out. i swallowed some more food finally that finally dislodged it. i was scared shitless.
