I was eating fried fish and I felt a bone in the back of my throat as I was swallowing. I tried to get it out right away but was unsuccessful. I called the doctor yesterday and made an appointment but I am wondering what will they do. I am guessing an x-ray to see where it is. I still feel it picking me around the top of my Adams apple. Anyone have experience with this?

Drink a pint of vinegar 3-4 x a day
It'll dissolve in a week

You idiot, why did you call the dr? Should've done a homemade tracheotomy with a filet knife and saved yourself some money.

Had that happen to a friend. By the time he saw a doctor, the bone was no longer stuck. But it felt like it was still there because it scratched the lining of his throat.

Have you tried eating some bread to dislodge it?

Same thing happened to my mother-in-laws dog. They ended up having to put it down.

Be sure to say your goodbye's before your appointment.

First Phish's bone gets caught in your throat, then chicken advises you to put Bread in your mouth.

You sound like a wannabe time-shifting groupie.

IRL That actually sounds horrible.

Eat more slowly and chew your food better.

Reminds me of a camping trip 40 years or more ago. We were playing cards after eating fish. My friend's cousin started complaining about a bone in his throat. Friend says, "yeah yeah, let me finish this hand"
Guy actually starts choking sounds. Friend throws down his cards, hands me a flashlight, I shine it down cuz' throat, friend pulls out the bone stuck in the side of his throat with a pair of fish slime covered, needle nosed pliers.
Started playing cards again. Don't need no stinking Doctor!

I actually had a fish bone stuck in my throat for a couple of days. I mentioned it to my dad, and he suggested reaching in there with a toothbrush to try to dislodge it. One I got past the reflex action to barf, it knocked the bone loose almost immediately. Problem solved

You can expect an egd if it stays stuck.

Call a gastrointestinal doctor that has an endoscopy suite at his office. They will numb your throat then scope you to retrieve the bone. Won't be cheap.
