But 2-3 step verification to order a large meat lovers pizza is fricking insane.

This is actually a legit gripe. Some sites just don't need two factor....

Yes. Dominos wanting to make it a pain to log in can really suck.

Wish everyone would go to paraphrases instead of passwords. Easier to remember, more secure, and don’t have to change as often.

Check out as a guest and put your credit card number in each time. Problem solved.

Because it involves a credit/debit card transaction.

My chase app requires just a password, but ordering food should require 2FA?

also, some apps dont give the option to order as a guest which would remove the risk of CC info being stolen...so to order a pizza I have to sign up for a fricking account, find the email to verify said account, then log into the account then enter the verification code... come on.

Financial transactions of any amount have been rated as high risk for at least 15 years (I can't recall if it was the FDIC or Treasury that issued the letter). If the delivery apps didn't have MFA available, they'd get dinged on supplier audits, etc.

Website passwords will be going away soon. At some point in the near future once you authenticate yourself to your cell phone, no passwords will be required thereafter including bank accounts

The Chase app is doing it wrong, not the food app.
