My first job I worked for my old school district, I withdrew a 13-year-old to our teenaged pregnancy program (TAPP) who was on her second kid. Her Mom, who also had her at 13, was taking her out for a celebratory lunch afterward.

Folks have no idea.

Interesting that it is Norgestrel which is a progestin only pill, containing no estrogen which lowers the risk of blood clots and is safe for nursing mothers. This would make it have a better safety profile but, it is slightly less effective than the combo BCP pills containing both. It is also called the mini pill and not prescribed as often. You have to be very careful to take it at the same time every day or it is not as effective. I'm not opposed to this move but, since Obamacare was passed I thought birth control pills were mostly free for everyone...

There is some speculation that this is what had caused lower average T levels in men. Something to due with women on the pill not being as attracted to masculine men.

Yeah but is everyone vacxxxxed?

How much subsidy can you skim though by just putting on the shelf?

Honestly surprised democrats aren’t fighting this more. Seems like it’ll hit their base pretty hard in a few decades.

Yeah it’s almost like democrats don’t actually have to worry about getting enough votes. Weird.

Cutting this in half before conception would be really fricking great for this country if we're being honest. Unwanted babies become unwanted children become troubled adults.

And yet, the result will be the opposite.

The same argument was proffered when the pill was first introduced. Surely, they said, this will result in fewer unwanted pregnancies and fewer abortions.

The actual result was an explosion of unwanted pregnancies and a massive increase in abortions. And that’s just for starters.

The evolutionary forces which shaped human behavior and human development were based on the fact that women naturally pay a very high cost for being sexually active.

In the natural world, women must choose their partner carefully with long-term successful mating strategies being employed to ensure their safety and survival of themselves and their offspring.

In response, men must make themselves worthy to be partners to women in order to have success in the mating game.

The so-called sexual revolution was more than just a revolution about sex, it was the genesis of a new species, cyborg humans; the fundamental change of basic mating strategies of humans by choosing to alloy ourselves with technology.

Read some of Mary Harrington’s book or watch this interview on Triggernometry (or any other interviews with Harrington) for more in-depth discussion on this topic.

If you actually believe this, you are a moron.

A few, maybe, but most just want to get blasted in by other kids in junior high with impunity. It's better than getting pregnant, but parents that fall for this shite are delusional, and every parent you tell knows your daughter wasn't worried about acne and cramps when you tell them.

Sorry, but people were getting upset over the strokes and heart attacks it was causing.

It always seemed like a secondary benefit to me. Spraying gut with abandon being the primary benefit.

It's not isolated. I had an ex who worked in administration at a public HS who came home absolutely destroyed her first time experiencing something similar. Also had stories of young girls being pressured for not doing the same by their moms. She lasted one full year at that school before resigning and taking a large pay cut to work at a private school. I think many of us are isolated and don't know how 'bad' some mindsets are in our country. It's not a race thing. It's not even a D vs R thing. The federal government has made baby making into a career choice for those who feel they have no other option. Reforming social programs in this country isn't to punish those who can't provide for themselves, but rather is a necessity to cut down on how many are dependent on them. Not everyone on social programs is like this, I am not even saying most are. There are enough with this mindset though that there is a significant impact on the system to where we are limited on what we can provide and who we can help because of it.

I’m all for this. Especially after just watching a mom smack the shite out of her toddler for not holding still in a waiting room. Nothing says motherly love like four jabs to the body and a “I told you to quit fricking playing” as a finisher.

Most people don’t need to reproduce.

Low T men just blame everyone but themselves.

Stop eating heaps of processed food and sitting on the couch instead of exercising and your T will get right back up there.

Taxpayer funded free birth control and condoms also are readily available at any local health department . It just takes a little effort to make an appointment for the exam.

I'd still make a bet that the gov funded stuff is way more expensive than the otc stuff. So the underprivileged can buy cheaper BC, have fewer kids, and the govt spends less subsidizing this...

Where's the problem again?
