Workers go on strike all the time in other countries re transportation also.
Sounds like the previous guy had one legitimate issue, which happens. And didn't book his tickets properly for the other trip. It literally tells you when booking whether or not you're going to need to take a bus to your final destination

I have Traveled all over Europe, we could learn a lot from the Europeans.
Clean streets
Sit in a Restaurant or Coffee Shop for as long as you wish
no hangups on sex
Compared to my USA. It is an easy life

It depends on where you go. I saw about the same number of women in hijabs in Italy as I do here in Birmingham. Not many. Countries and areas in Europe are as different as Alabama is to New York.
