Agreed, Birmingham has an image problem, but I enjoy it. Well, except for all of the Alabama fans that are there.

World Games will be there in July.
USFL going on now.

I grew up in the Ham. It’s really changed since the 60s and 70s.

Same here. It’s a different city over the last 10 years. Still has parts like Mogadishu, but every southern city has those areas.

Take a drive through Mountain Brook to see the good life. If I'm ever able to convince my wife and 3 kids to move out of NOLA, it's number 1 on my list.

I’ve lived in Bham for 20 years (minus 3 years in Fairhope) and the change in the last 10 years has been pretty remarkable.

AL has three of the best places to raise a family in the entire country:
-Madison/Huntsville
-Birmingham Suburbs
-Fairhope

The nice areas of St Louis are nicer than the nice areas of Birmingham

Memphis is indeed a shithole

If you can afford it, it should be an easy sell for the wife.

Moved here 3 years ago and love it. Great restaurants, tons of breweries, good golf, outdoor activities, easy drive to see family in MS or head to braves game whenever I want. Hell, I’ve enjoyed the barons games too. Also, need to check out the new football stadium downtown
