Give it a few months.
Teachers will be screaming about COVID and they'll be demanding children get vaccine.

But why? Most of the teachers CAN get it. They aren't going to blindly approve it for a population that it hasn't been tested on. A lot of people don't realize that the very first vaccines were being jabbed into some pretty brave folks at least as early as March 16th....a mere THREE DAYS after shite officially hit the fan in the U.S. I'm not saying get it or don't get it. I'm just saying read up before you decide one way or the other. I was adamantly against it several months ago, but have since changed my tune after reading a lot more. I may still choose not to get it, but I've told my 70-year-old FIL to absolutely do it if it becomes available to him as he has other conditions that could cause serious complications.

I'm still wondering why we are vaccinating for a virus with a 99.97% survivability rate...

I appreciate Scruffy answering my questions — his thoughts were asked for by me.

I think your calculation may be wrong. If you had to deal with some of the worst of these cases, maybe you would feel differently. Maybe not.

Because my parents, who through no fault of their own, are very high risk for dying of covid. My dad is 67 years old and except for kidney disease that was caused by strep, is in excellent health. There's no reason he can't live for 10, 15 more years. A lot of people are in that boat. So while the disease may be "99.97" survivable for the general population, you're talking about years of life lost for a lot of people.

So yeah Ill take my vaccination. I only have so much time left with them as it is, I don't want to shorten it by being a selfish count. You do you though.
