Yea - imagine being in that piece of shite at the mercy of a storm in like 20+ foot waves.

I’d love to know the % of them that actually make it. Gotta think there’s a ton of narco subs on the floor of the Atlantic Ocean

Anyone got a recovery sub?

There's some interesting information on this wiki page, which says this probably was not the first one. I wonder if it actually sailed across the Atlantic under it's own power, was refueled along the way, or was loaded and towed most of the way.

Building a submersible is one thing. Building a true submarine capable of crossing the Atlantic is another.

I would assume they ship/tow them across the ocean and then detach them for shore delivery.

I guess the "crazy Juan" isn't as effective as the "crazy Ivan"

I would think that this is most likely.

That's a pretty safe bet that this isn't the first one

The kind of people that traffic metric tons of cocaine don't really ship out stepped on product. They are the source

There has to be, the chances of your first try being the first successful trip have to be insanely small. Not like the guys driving the subs lives are worth anything either

....while the container ships with thousands of kilos packed with pure cocaine just cruise right into port.

seems unlikely that the cartel is shipping flour across the Atlantic in a submarine.

You have to go through customs in shipping containers though. If the narcos have a way to bypass that whole scenario it would be a game changer for them.

They should smuggle it in big shipments of feminine products.

The port authority dudes will open it up, see that and say “gross, wave that shite through”

The cartel is not gonna spend over amillion dollars to sail a submarine to Europe with metric tons of bunk cocaine to use as a decoy......

Would be like getting a DUI the first time you ever drank and drove.

Remember when Trump said that the cartels had tanks and the media sneered at him?

Pepperidge Farm remembers.
